Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation

It's been a while since my last post.. Apologies for that - but this product is my latest favourite thing.

I love foundation... I love good foundation... I rarely try out new ones just incase in not happy with the finish or the coverage.

Now I have a love - hate relationship with Smashbox... Not because of the products but because of terrible service I received from a consultant on a Smashbox counter while I was in Debenhams. This put me off the brand completely!
Smashbox is no longer in my nearest Debenhams (Cardiff) but it is in the Boots store in Cardiff.
While Christmas shopping I wandered over to look at the foundations as I was in need of a new one - I was served by a lovely consultant, who despite it being 15 minutes till closing spent the time taking off my foundation and applying this one all over for me to try.

The product is available in 13 shades and I was matched at 2.2. Boots did not have all 13 shades available on the counter so this was my closest match.
Even when the foundation was first applied without any additional powder for setting I was happy with the finish.
Coverage is buildable and my skin feels amazing - not caked and not heavy.

The foundation not only promotes 15 hour wear but also it is transfer resistant and oil free. A big plus for me and my combination skin.
Now the science bit suggests that this foundation has light diffusing spheres to blur out imperfections - now I'm no scientist so I can't tell you if all that is true but I know my skin feels and looks great after applying this product.

It's £27.50 for 30ml but you do get a handy pump included.

This foundation gets a big thumbs up from me as it simply doesn't budge and I like that it controls shine and coverage is buildable.

A new firm favourite of mine.
