Glitz and Glamour

I recently acquired the Avon Glitz and Glamour palette. Which is a quad palette consisting of; a rich dark blue, gold, purple and a light shimmer.
I created a look based on how I feel all four colours would work well together but you could easily mix these colours with any existing shadows as they are quite universal. The colours also work if you only wanted to use 2/4 or 3/4. Taking this in to account it makes for a more sound investment as the look with all 4 colours combined is quite heavy and most people who aren't confident with eye make up may find them too dark when applied together.
I applied the colours after using a primer as without the primer the colours weren't as vivid as they appeared in the palette. I also had to layer the colours quite considerably as they seemed to dull very quickly when applied to my eye.
I added the gold colour to my entire lid then used the blue from the centre of my lid to the outer corner. I built the purple shade from the outer corner of my lid up towards the brow line blending outwards to avoid a dreaded line. Finally I used the light shimmer to highlight my brow line and then to highlights the inner corner of my eye.
The pallet is great for someone who is experimenting with a mix of colour for the first time, rather than the general graduated same colour pallets you mainly see in the market place. However you may find yourself needing to reapply the colour throughout the evening to keep the intensity as the product lacks staying power.
